I am wondering if you are aware or collect data on the number of patient transport journeys that are fulfilled by unpaid volunteers (not friends and family but people unknown to the patient) rather than the SAS?

We have searched our records and we do not collect data for patient transport services that are fulfilled by volunteers. As per Section 17 of FOISA, I can confirm that Scottish Ambulance Service does not hold the information you have requested.
