Could you please provide data for the past 5 years in an excel or csv format on the number of ambulance attendances related to intentional self-harm and intentional self-poisoning incidents?
To clarify: this refers to cases where individuals have hurt themselves (intentional overdose, cuts, and near hanging) and threatened suicide.
- Please break the data down by the following calendar years (see below), including the most recent provisional data for: 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23. Please add a total row at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
- Please could you also please provide a separate column detailing how many of these incidents occurred with those under the age of 18.

We have provided the figures held against <18, this is for all incidents where an age has been noted and can be determined as <18.
Please note caution on the interpretation of the data given, there may be cases where an age has not been input into a record and therefore may not be captured in these figures.
Intentional overdoses have not been included as, from our data, we are unable to definitively determine whether these were intentional.
