If you are able to get out and about normally when not going for a hospital appointment, please ensure you seek the advice within this section before attempting to access ambulance support to get to your appointment.

When you receive a hospital appointment, you may need help to get to the hospital. Here is some information and guidance around your options.

Friends or Family

Ask friends or family if they can take you and speak to the Clinic for an appointment that will suit their availability.

Do you have a Mobility Car

The Motability Scheme helps disabled people get mobile by exchanging their mobility allowance to lease a car, scooter, powered wheelchair or Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle.

If you do not need ambulance transport, you may be able to arrange transport through other organisations.
